1 John 2:27

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Through Job 23 (page 690)

Esther 3
Hello Haman.
:13 - An unholy mailout commanding the destruction of all Jews.

Esther 4
Uncle Mordecai would not accept Esthers food and clothes she sent him.
Esther must have really trusted Hatach, the eunuch she communicated through to her uncle.

Esther 5
Wonder why Esther asked the king and Haman to 2 dinners before asking what she really wanted when the king already offered her half the kingdom when she first walked in.

Esther 6
Wow, I bet that really chapped Haman's hide to have to honor the one he wanted to kill.

Esther 7
Hung by his (Haman) own creation

Esther 8
:4 - golden sceptre
Yet again, one beautiful woman saves her whole household and nation....like Rahab.
:17 - many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them You could become Jewish, even if you weren't born into it.  That also means they must have been multi-racial, and explains how Esther could have hidden her identity so easily.

Esther 9
:21 - Establishing a new holiday- when the Jews had rest from their enemies - "Purim" (:26)

Esther 10
The chapter is 3 verses long!

Job 1
:1 - There goes the expression "No one is perfect."  According to this verse, Job was.
:5 - Just in case offerings
:8 - I am constantly baffled that God is the one that initiated the stirring up of Job's life and torment.
:15 - Sabeans = seven or an oath = the same word as Sheba, as in the Queen of Sheba who came and visited Solomon. http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H7614&t=KJV

Job 2
:3 - God brings Satan's attention again to Job
:10 - Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?  Maybe evil can be received more easily as an opportunity and possibility for good later
:11 - Job's 3 friends:  Eliphaz - Temanite
Bildad - Shuhite
Zophar - Naamathite
:13 - 7 days and 7 nights Job and the 3 friends sat silently with ripped clothes and dust on their head

Job 3
Job curses his own birthday instead of God or anything else.

Job 4
Eliphaz speaks first...and at first it seems like he has encouraging words, and then the famous ...but...

Job 5
Eliphaz still talking.  Making up for those silent 7, I suppose.
:17 - Behold, happy [is] the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
I don't think I would want anyone saying this to me after all my kids died and my whole body having boils all over...even if it's true...and I know it is.

Job 6
:8 - Job wishes he could die and calls the calamity arrows of the Almighty (:4)

Job 7
:14 - Bad dreams come with physical disease
Why? Why? Why?

Job 8

Bilad speaks next.

Job 9
It must be hard to listen to friends that you believe mean well, but have no idea what you've been through...experience wise.  They can't relate at all, but they sure can judge...or they think they can.
If...If....Ifffffff........
Many analogies to nature
:33 - daysman = to prove, decide, judge, rebuke, reprove, correct, be right http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H3198&t=KJV

Job 10
Job speaks to God now instead of trying to answer his friends.  Sanity returns.
:18 - give up the ghost is in Scripture!

Job 11
Zophar speaks.
I see this thought often.  It is as if there is a limited amount of goodness, and for a person to try to claim some for themself, it would need to be taken away from someone else...or from God, for those religious minds.

Job 12
Job defends himself and speaks of God's power.

Job 13
Job continues to defend himself, questioning his friends' judgment and authority.

Job 14
A bit of hope perhaps?
:14 - If a man die, shall he live [again]? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Job 15
Eliphaz speaks again.

Job 16
Job answers again.  He seems to be stronger in self-defense.
:20 - My friends scorn me: [but] mine eye poureth out [tears] unto God. ~Time for some new friends.

Job 17
:14 - I have said to corruption, Thou [art] my father: to the worm, [Thou art] my mother, and my sister. ~Despair sets in.

Job 18
Bildad speaks again. Is he putting all this wickedness on Job?  Saying he will be son-less and nephew-less?
:15 - brimstone

Job 19
Poor Job.  What kind of friends are these?  It is interesting that he talks of God doing all this to him.  He gives tribute to God even in the enemies' work.  Is this like giving credit to the boss or the corporation when it is the individual employees actually doing the work?  It's weird to think of Satan as God's employee.

:26 - And [though] after my skin [worms] destroy this [body], yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Job 20
Zophar speaks of the hypocrite and wicked man.

Job 21
Job's turn.

:27 - Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices [which] ye wrongfully imagine against me.
Job 22
Eliphaz again.  He accuses him of not sharing his wealth when he had it.  I guess it makes sense to assume someone has done wrong if they are suffering so much, but if that is normal, maybe a new mind is required to download a different perspective of "normal."

Finally one of these "friends" says something nice:
:29 - When [men] are cast down, then thou shalt say, [There is] lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
:30 -
He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

Job 23
Job's answer to Eliphaz.
:10 - :12 -

Job 23
Job's answer to Eliphaz.
:10 - :12 -

But he knoweth the way that I take: [when] he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.

Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary [food].
