1 John 2:27

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

p.1470 Through Ephesians 5

1 Corinthians 16
:15 - The house of Stephanas, that is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints. ~Stephanas house was the firstfruits of his town.  And a good addiction to have!

2 Corinthians 1
:4-5 - We can help those going through what we've been through.
:9 -   But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: ~This would make an interesting sermon, "Have the sentence of death in yourself."

2 Corinthians 2
:8 - Confirm your love toward those who have sorrow.
:10-11 - Forgive, forgive, forgive so that Satan does not get an advantage over you.

2 Corinthians 3
:2-3 - Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
:6 - We are able minsters of the NT and of the Spirit.
:17 - There is liberty where the Spirit of the Lord is.
~A chapter full of quotables.~

2 Corinthians 4
:9 - persecuted not abandoned...

2 Corinthians 5
:1-2 - For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: ~Man, I am having church by myself right now feeling the Spirit of God just reading this!
:7 - We walk by faith not by sight.
:16 - Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we [him] no more. ~This is why I don't do a lot of religious "fellowship" activities.

2 Corinthians 6
:12 - straightened in your own bowels ~ Perhaps that meant their soul?  Or their center of being?  Figurative? Hopefully.
:14-17 - The famous unequally yoked passage...although it looks to me as though it refers to all relationships, not just romantic ones...to come out from among the religions surrounding them with all their idols and superstitions.

2 Corinthians 7
:4 - boldness of speech
:10 - For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

2 Corinthians 8
:19 - declaration of your ready mind

2 Corinthians 9
:2 - your zeal hath provoked very many.
:6-7 - Good verses for the offerings and tithe part of service.

2 Corinthians 10
:3-5 - Spiritual warfare
:17 - Glory in the Lord

2 Corinthians 11
:2 - godly jealousy exists
:3 - simplicity in Christ
:13-15 - False apostles and Satan as an angel of light
:24-28 - Paul's resume of terror

2 Corinthians 12
:7 - thorn in the flesh = messenger of Satan

2 Corinthians 13
:8 - For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
:12 - Greet one another with a holy kiss.

Galatians 1
Looks like the Galatians got off track. Also, Paul always backs up his letters by telling a brief summary of his salvation experience (so far.)
:16 - conferred not with flesh and blood

Galatians 2
:14 - Paul publicly rebukes Peter
:20 - I am crucified with Christ

Galatians 3
Faith, Abraham, promise, Spirit
:19 - The law was added because of transgressions UNTIL the seed of the promise would come
:23 - Faith must be revealed.
:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. ~I quote this every time I am confronted about being a lady preacher.
:29 - And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
~Just read the whole chapter if you are confused about Jesus and the OT law~

Galatians 4
:6-7 - When we have the Spirit of the Son to cry out to the Father, we graduate from being children (like slaves) to Sons, having an inheritance.
:16 - Sometimes, yes.  We are the enemy when we give others the truth.
:19 - travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you ~I really believe a true minister's most effective prayer is this travail.
:26 - But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.~You can't be an orphan in God.  We have Him as our Father, and here's our mother!
~A good chapter to study the comparison between the church and Isaac, the son of promise.~

Galatians 5
:14 - For all the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
:19-21 - Works of the flesh listed.
:22-23 - List of the fruits of the Spirit

Galatians 6
:8 - Sow into the Spirit

Ephesians 1
:4 - We were chosen before the foundation of the world.
:17 - spirit of wisdom and revelation

Ephesians 2
:8-9 - Saved by grace, not works.
:20-22 - Composition of God's house:  Apostles, prophets = foundation, Jesus Christ = cornerstone

Ephesians 3
:3 - Revelation of the mystery
:9 - Fellowship of the mystery
:17-21 - Popular benediction

Ephesians 4
One body, one spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all
:11-12 - Five fold ministry:  Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers

Ephesians 5
:13 - But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. ~This is why I'm not afraid for conflict to arise, because it results in light anyway.
:26 - That he might sanctify and cleanse it [the church] with the washing of water by the word,~beautiful analogy
:32 - This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.~Speaking of wives and husbands in a comparitive way of Christ and the church.
